Customized Han Carbonite Desk

We love creating custom commissioned works of furniture art. After seeing our Han Solo™ Carbonite Elements Desk, a client asked us to incorporate even more inspiration from the original film prop into a custom version of that Star Wars™ desk for his home office. We started with an expanded carbonite block profile and then replicated the detail panels on the sides, using castings from vintage car dashboards, just like the original prop makers did.
One of those panels hides a secret drawer, and another houses a USB and power outlet for handy access to a recharge whenever needed. The towers on either side light in the iconic, Bespin Carbonite Chamber orange and can change to any color in the rainbow, dim, blink and more all at the flick of a wireless remote switch. They even tie in with out client’s home automation! That’s the level of one-on-one attention we offer our custom clients.
Half-inch thick glass sits atop thick acrylic posts for a generous work surface, with additional workspace in a large pull out keyboard and mouse tray. Drawers on one tower give ample storage space and a cabinet on the other can house a computer tower and more making this both incredibly cool and extremely functional custom furniture creation!
