Custom Imperial-Themed Desk

When we completed our latest custom built piece of Star Wars™ inspired furniture, our client said, ” I couldn’t believe it was real and finally ready to come to its forever home. Even after it arrived and has been in the house for a few days, I have had moments where I just look at it, pause, and savor its gloriousness.”
This particular Star Wars desk was custom-made for a client’s loft. He wanted a way to bring the films he loved into his home and have a functional, spacious workspace. His original request was for a desk themed to Emperor Palpatine’s desk in Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and a brainstorm call sparked some other neat ideas. After exploring concepts and sketches based on that film desk, we offered a few alternative ideas with various Imperial and Vader themed elements. One by Richard Riley jumped out at our client. With some tweaking by Tom Spina and Richard, this would become our client’s new custom desk!
The desk features a unique diamond shape, two-level top in battleship gray, lighted side panels pop off the jet-black laminate base. With color change options, the lights can change to suit any decor or mood. The reverse side showcases versatility, including drawers, a cabinet, a large pull out tray for keyboard and mouse and grommets allowing wires to run through several ways.
On either side of the front panel, metal Imperial cogs sit upon stand-offs and center stage is a pewter-look helmet of Darth Vader™ himself! The helmet was a digital sculpture by Sean Fields based on the helmet from the iconic, 1977 film. The helmet was hand finished and given a realistic metal look, then framed in the center of the desk to make this one of the most intimidating custom furniture pieces in the galaxy!
