Commemorating the 25th Anniversary of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace™, this Signature Edition Jar Jar Binks™ Concept Maquette Replica is part of our Star Wars™ Archive Collection, a continuation and expansion of our work creating authentic replicas with impeccable lineage.

Available for only 7 days, with the order window closing on May 28th at Noon EST, each hand-painted maquette in this Signature Edition includes a metal plaque hand-signed by legendary ILM sculptor, Tony McVey. 

McVey was part of the team that did concept work for the ILM creature shop on Star Wars: Return of the Jedi™. As part of his prequel work, he sculpted this concept for the Jar Jar Binks character.

McVey was part of the team that did concept work for the ILM creature shop on Star Wars: Return of the Jedi™, the prequel films and beyond. As part of that work, he sculpted several concepts for the Jar Jar Binks character. Tony’s also known for his work on Salacious Crumb™ and sculpting the first physical version of Grogu™ for The Mandalorian™.

This maquette was the first step in designing what would be an unprecedented and memorable digital character. With hands-on access to the original film artifact and high resolution 3D scanning, our team crafted a faithful recreation of the concept maquette for this iconic alien from the movie.  

At approximately 7” tall (including the wood display base), each is cast in solid polyurethane resin. 100% made in the U.S.A., every replica in this edition is meticulously hand painted by the artists in our New York studio, making each a unique tribute to the artistry involved behind the scenes of our favorite films!
