Several of our collectibles were created before we introduced the Legacy sketch editions. Now, we’re excited to offer standalone sketches of characters who previously did not get the Legacy treatment.
The edition will be strictly limited to just 50 pieces as part of our Star Wars™ Archive Collection. Each full-color illustration is a one-of-a-kind, dreamed-up and hand-drawn by ILM creature creator Dave Carson who beautifully painted each in watercolor. It comes matted within an 5”x7” frame, above an elegant metal nameplate, hand-signed by Carson, to complete the display.

The Archive Collection - Recreating an Artifact

While Nien Nunb was originally just an alien design, originally called “Number nine” – he would eventually become the co-pilot of the Millennium Falcon. Dave Carson sculpted the original Nien Nunb concept maquette and crafted a number of maquettes and full size aliens for the creature shop headed by Phil Tippett. The character was brought to life on screen as a full scale rubber mask worn and puppet in the film. For this incredible edition, Dave revisited that design and sketched 50 wonderfully creative full color illustrations.
