Our Star Wars™ Archive Collection’s newest replica is Judy Elkin’s Concept Maquette for Toadstool Terror, part of our work creating authentic replicas with impeccable lineage.
The extremely limited Legacy Edition of just 55 pieces goes beyond a signature edition to provide each owner with a truly unique work-of-art. Each maquette in this Legacy Edition will include a premium expanded plaque including a one-of-a-kind colored pencil illustration of the creature, hand-drawn by original sculptor, Judy Elkins. The included 3 5/8” wide sketch comes beautifully matted within an 5”x7” frame that also houses a hand-numbered metal nameplate, hand-signed by Elkins. That frame can either stand on a table top or hang on a wall.
With hands-on access to the original film artifact and high resolution 3D scanning, our team crafted a faithful recreation of this early concept for the classic character.
At approximately 8″ tall (including the wood display base), each sizable resin maquette is features real glass eyes like the original. 100% made in the U.S.A., every replica in this edition is meticulously hand painted by the artists in our New York studio, making each a unique tribute to the artistry involved behind the scenes of our favorite films!
The maquettes are hand packed in a gloss black box with die-cut foam insert and COA, and double-boxed for shipping.

The Archive Collection - Recreating an Artifact
During the production of films, the creature effects team will often dream up new and fantastic aliens and beasts by creating small scaled sculptures, called “maquettes,” to showcase their ideas. From this menagerie of maquettes, the film’s director and producer choose which characters will be brought to life for the film as costumes or puppets and what roles they will play in the story.
Sculpted by creature creator, Judy Elkins, this concept was chosen to be Toadstool Terror or Loje Nella for the film. Over the years, the character has had figures made and been seen in many behind the scenes photos of Jabba’s palace in books and documentaries like “Classic Creatures: Return of the Jedi” and “From Star Wars to Jedi: The Making of a Saga.”
