Famed Mythbuster and Tested.com host, Adam Savage recently received his limited edition Tauntaun Maquette Replica – Signature Edition and just a few minutes after unpacking it, recorded this great video review! Mastered from legendary effects artist Phil Tippet’s original mold, this maquette is a recreation of the original concept sculpture used in creating the iconic beast from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. We’re casting our resin maquettes in the USA and finishing them in simple gray and white as a tribute the sculpture and artistry that went into making of the film. Each of the 250 pieces will come with snow themed base and an elegant metal plaque, signed by the original sculptor, Phil Tippett.
